March Madness

I am not a basketball player, but this title seemed fitting. Is your March flying past as quickly as mine?!

Highlights this month have included collaborations, custom orders and the round up of the February *Knit-Your-Mitts* online class (Which can only mean one thing... A pattern launch!)

Window Collaboration

The collaboration with Jamiesons Of Shetland was a lot of fun. We planned and decorated one of their Lerwick windows with a "Mirrie Dancers" (Northern Lights) theme. It includes a loch, a house, a boat, some Fair Isle Pinboards, design notes, HUGE yarn wraps, Ivan Hawicks photos and a lot of yarn! If you are around Lerwick you must have a look! Billister Lights cowls and patterns are also available to buy in the shop.

Get Excited, You're Invited!

I am sending out a special invitation to all of you lovely blog post readers to say a big thank you for being part of my business. I have enjoyed having you all to keep in touch with so much that I've decided I need MORE! A new Facebook group Terri Laura's Creative Crew has been created to help me keep in touch with you better. I am describing it as:

A community hosted by Terri Laura. Let's talk about knitting, yarn, art, design, colour and celebrate proud fibre art moments.

Being part of this group will make sure you are the first to hear about tips, news and launches directly from Terri too!

I have big plans for the group already, including more information on patterns and classes as I launch them, live videos, conversations and a competition involving the new Tinas Mitts pattern!

Pattern Available NOW!

Tina's Mitts are now available!

I am so excited to finally have this pattern available! (I wish I had superpowers and could release a new pattern every month but unfortunately I don't!)

Go to Ravelry to buy this pattern!

These lovely mitts were designed late last year and were used for my February *Knit-Your-Mitts* online class. I have more plans for these still - details of a competition below!

Competition Time!

To celebrate the release of the Tinas Mitts pattern as well as the 1st birthday of my business I have put together a fun colourwork competition and chance to win a goodie bag which will include the Curled Cowl of your choice!

How to enter:

  • Create your own colourway to use with the Tina's Mitts pattern. Your submission must be a photograph of both sides of the mitt in your colourway, swatches will be accepted as long as the full motif and the palm section of the hand is complete in your photo.
  • Email me your submission along with your full name and the type of yarn you are using to by Sunday the 13th of May.

I will put these together to create a public Facebook and Instagram poll which will decide the winner!

Don't worry if you're not confident on colourwork, I am here to help! I will be giving colourwork tips to members of the Terri Laura's Creative Crew Facebook group to help you come up with your design, so make sure you join the group!
