Swiss Yarn Festival & More Travel Plans

My updates for this month are mostly about my yarn and wool festival travel, but make sure you scroll down to the extras for the details of a workshop in Shetland too!

The Swiss Yarn Festival - March 2019

The success of the first Swiss Yarn Festival was definitely because of the wonderful organisers Asita and Meret (I have linked their websites there for you!) . I thoroughly enjoyed travelling there and working with them. My classes were a joy and I am so happy to have met all of the wonderful ladies who attended and made the weekend so much fun. The venue was GORGEOUS and had the most helpful, fun-loving staff, we couldn't have asked for anything more!

Workshops at the Swiss Yarn Festival

I taught 4 workshops at the festival:

  • Colourwork in Fair Isle
  • Colourwork and motifs in Fair Isle
  • Traditional Starred Crowns
  • Fair Isle Knitting for beginners

All of the students I had over the weekend were incredibly enthusiastic and worked so hard to create some beautiful pieces from what they learned. I am so proud!

Some holiday snaps too! (I had the best time!)

Next up: Denmark!

In early May I will be travelling to Denmark to work with Garncafe Madsine. I will be teaching in their shop on the 8th and 9th of May, click here for the details, then travelling with them to Uldfestival Saltum for the weekend. You'll be able to find us in tent 4, stand 298.
